I paid a visit to Amwell Nature Reserve with a couple of great photography friends to seek out the Kingfishers and hope that they make an appearance for a while.
So while the male made an appearance, it was brief. I didn’t get the chance to check if the exposure was right, or if the image was sharp. the above image was the best possible result I could achieve. The remainder of my time was focused on other Wildlife close to the hide, including a Robin and a Red Fox.
I don’t usually get to see a fox in a non-captive environment, so seeing the fox in the above image came as a welcome surprise.
Some of the other birds I have seen include a male and female Reed Bunting
and a few Long Tailed Tits.
Blue Tits and Great Tits were seen quite frequently, but sadly the Kingfishers didn’t make any further appearances during the day. I hope my next visit to Amwell will be more fortunate.
